We engaged the services of Deighton Marshall, Principal Consultant of Industrial Relations Solutions to assist us in improving our labour management relationships at the Transport Board. His designed interventions led to the formation of a Labour-Management Committee.
The collaboration between members of the Labour-Management Committee allowed for both workers and management to jointly develop and reinforce strategies and approaches to improve the Transport Board as a whole. The enthusiasm which was generated from the Action Plans that were formulated will no doubt lead to successful outcomes of which we will all be proud.

Mr Marshall has served as a presenter with the University of the West Indies Open Campus for two topics: Employment Rights Bill and Employment Law.These subjects form part of the course Law for Human Resource Practitioners which is offered as one of our Workforce Development Programmes.
The presentations were well structured, very well presented and relevant within the context of the aims and the objectives of the overall course. They enabled participants to generate a realistic view of how these critical topics impact from a legal perspective on their human resource practice. Overall, the presentation was very well received.
